Dark Black Spot On Forehead

by Beau
(CA, USA)

I went to the dermatologist and they gave me bleech after just receiving a mini chemical peal that helped a little bit. They also went over with it the Lazer today, but the black spots are still there, they almost look like they are tattos. I was wondering what the best course of action would be to get rid of this.

Answer:

Hi Beau, the discoloration may be beyond skin deep, way below the topmost layer of skin. Skin whitening products only treat the epidermis and if the darkened skin goes way deeper, it can remain a dark mark, although a bit lighter after you use a skin whitener. Maybe a series of laser session can help, but cosmetic soaps and creams may not be your best option for that because there is dried/clotted blood beneath skin that contributes to the dark mark.
