Damaged skin - burned

by Shelly
(Louisville, KY)

Do you think the whitening cream will penetrate deep enough to help skin that had been damaged(burned) and really darkened by TCA chemical peels. Will it also help if part of that skin appears to have a red or pink tone.

Answer:

Hi Shelly, the whitening cream can improve the texture of skin by peeling off the topmost dark skin layer, but does not go beyond skin deep, only the epidermis. If the affected area is flat, there's a good chance that the whitening cream can fade or remove the pigmentation.

I do not suggest applying any skin lightener on reddish or pink skin. Let it heal first because the process of skin peeling or exfoliation might make it sore or irritated.

Hope that helps.

Maria
