Chin darkening
by Ashley
Hi so I've been using the diana stalder black soap in the morning and the glutathione soap at night. In addition with the skin whitening cream. I also use sunscreen when I go out. I bought all of this primarily because of my acne scars which I must say has cleared up remarkably. They are nearly gone and I've had them for years! I'm amazed by the results!
But now...I have another problem. My chin area has gotten darker =( It's so ugly. It starts in the creases that appear when I smile on down. Is this all due to the soap? Should I stop using it?
I'm thinking if I continue, it'll eventually lighten up like the rest of my face. It could just be a slow process. I'm also thinking that maybe my chin has always been darker than my face and by using the soap, the area that I was really focused on which were my cheeks has gotten significantly lighter and my chin just appears darker. Your suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thankyou

Hi Ashley, the moment you reached the desired result, you should have minimized the usage of the skin whitening soaps because over-peeling can make fresh skin sun sensitive and prone to further darkening. That is what happened to you.
If you recall the instructions on the sheet/catalogue provided, it states that after the skin has lightened, reduce frequency of application from daily to 2-3x a week only for maintenance.
Another thing is you only use one soap at a time. Usually, you can start with a stronger soap (glutathione) then after peeling or during maintenance, continue with a milder lightening soap (black or licorice soap).
What you can do now is, if the chin area is dry and dark, just use the black soap for the whole face. It would eventually even out the skin and lighten the chin area again. It worked before, so it can work again. You can also use the glutathione soap on the chin area once in a while to peel off the dark skin layer faster.
Don't forget to moisturize your chin area daily. The cracking of skin is a sign of dryness that needs hydration. :)
