Can I take certain medications along with skin whitening?

Hello, I ordered a kit of the skin whitening products.I am currently taking lithium orotate for my mood swings,but when I start using the lightening kit(the one with the glutathione soap included) should I stop taking lithium while trying to lighten up my skin at the same time? will it condradict with each others results?
