black under arms, thigh,knees and elbow

I have my under arm, thigh, knees and elbow black and it just makes my self esteem down. i would like to know what can i buy to make this area more lighter or to match the rest of my skin tone. I was thinking about the whitening pill but would this also affect my tattoes?
