black spots around face

by An
(Canada)

i have black spots around the side of my face, when i use a cream that has hydroquinone, it goes and later becomes darker again.what do i do?

Answer:

Hi An, it seems that the skin lightener you used worked for you before. The probable reason why it darkens back is lack of maintenance (use 1-2x a week) and use of sunscreen. You see, these two will keep your results lasting for as long as you follow the regimen correctly.

However, use of hydroquinone-based skin whiteners are highly discouraged because of its carcinogenic properties. Try to choose a skin whitening cream that's free of hydroquinone, mercury or steroid. :)
