black pimple size marks on cheeks and under eyes

by Jags
(USA)

Hi Maria, This is Jags. I'm 28yr old Male. From past 4-5 months I'm seeing small black spots/marks of pimple size on my cheeks and under eyes. I usually do trim and i rarely shave my beard. My cheeks looks lite black and pimple marks.

I'm taking whey protein after workout. Does it have any side effects? Is there a way to get rid of it? I never been exposed to sun and most of the time I'll be indoors. Please let me know if you know cause or how to control it. Planning to consult dermatologist.

Under what category I should my Dermatologist like Conditions Treated:
Skin diseases & disorders,Solar keratosis, Rosacea, Acne,Pimples Or Scarring,Dermatitis and eczema,Keratosis - actinic).

Thanks,
Jags

Answer:

Hi Jags, I'm not a medical professional so if you feel you need to consult a dermatologist for your peace of mind, by all means do so. I can only give my personal opinion based on experience which should not be taken as medical advice.

Having said that, here's what I can say about your case.

Whey protein does not seem to cause acne. The only negative side effects of whey protein occur if you're allergic to it, or if you overdose on it. Otherwise, it will not cause pimples.

If you don't see any other dark spots on skin except the marks left by acne, I don't see anything serious and maybe it's simply a case of breakouts which is quite normal. Probably due to stress, lack of sleep, clogged pores and excess oil on skin.

To control acne and lighten the dark marks left by it, try Diana Stalder DS Papaya Soap as your daily facial wash.

However, since you said you have sensitive skin, try using the soap 2-3x a week for the first 2-3 weeks, until your skin can handle daily use. The rest of the instructions will be detailed in the catalog that will come with the soap when you order it.

All the best,
Maria
