BFAD?

by Zoe
(Boston)

Is Claire Blanche approved by the BFAD?

Answer:

Hi Zoe, Claire Blanche is made in the USA, not in the Philippines, so it will not pass through the BFAD which is a regulatory institution in the Philippines.

In the US, Glutathione is a food supplement and not a drug, therefore doesn’t require a Food and Drug Administration (FDA) approval in US. It is listed in the USFDA’s GRAS (Generally Recognized As Safe) list of safe food supplements under specification 21CFR §184.1979c.

Is Claire Blanche registered in FDA (BFAD)?
by: Anonymous

On a Regulatory Affairs Associate point of view, any cosmetic, drug or food to be marketed in the Philippines should pass through the regulations of our Authority Bodies. This is to safeguard the consumers. Even if it is registered in USFDA, it still must go through the evaluation of Philippine FDA.
