Anything I can do to hide this dark spot above my upper lip?

by Jasmine
(New Jersey)

There is a dark spot above my upper lip & I have absolutely NO idea where it came from. It just popped up out of no where. I have people constantly asking me what is around my lips. I've had people make fun of me about it. They'll say things like I have a mustache. & Those things are hurtful. That's why I don't like to go out in public like this.

But I also don't like going out with a bunch of foundation on my face because it makes my face look fake. I want to still look natural, but cover up the spot.

I've went to the dermatologist and he gave me this bleaching cream, but it didn't do any good. It made the spot itch & break out. I haven't went back to him. Sometimes it'll look better, then sometimes it looks worse. Do you know anything about it?

Answer:

Hi Jasmine, you might just need another skin whitening cream to try, because the first one obviously was not appropritate for your skin type. It takes trial and error to find out what's best for you. And don't worry, it's ok. :)

You can also ask yourself why, according to you, suddenly this pigmentation has occured. Probably you started taking birth control pills, or shave that area? Either one of this can cause a discoloration on the upper lip.

So from our line, I would suggest Diana Stalder Lightening Cream. Use once a day, apply at bedtime. At daytime, wear sunscreen for protection against further darkening.
