An even skin tone

by haki
(Kenya)

I have two questions. first, what should i use to get an even skin tone especially on my face and neck? Some parts of my face seem darker than others. Also what would be the cause of this?

Secondly, i have noticed my body has become dark the pigmentation is just not right this was not so before. What can i do to change that? I have tried using apricot scrub but there is no change. Is it dirt?

Answer:

Hi Haki, as we age, skin darkening comes with it due to sun exposure, friction or scrubbing too much, hormonal changes, accumulated dead skin cells, etc.

Apricot scrub can help remove the body's dead skin cells, but should only be done once a week for a brighter glow of skin. Why once? Because the skin does not develop dead skin cells everyday, and scrubbing too often can irritate and dry up skin which can cause an ashy color.

You can try to even out your skin tone by using skin whitener on affected areas.

As a recommendation, try Diana Stalder Papaya Soap Lightening Kit (under "Skin Whitening Kits") that you can use for face, neck and body. :)
