AHAs and BHAs with skin whitening

by KC
(Canada)

Hello, is it okay if I use skin whitening products containing alpha hydroxy acids and/or beta hydroxy acids while using the papaya kojic soap (for example, AHAs and BHAs contained in facial cleansers, toners, moisturizers, etc.)? I know it might be a bad idea when initially using the papaya kojic soap since it is drying, but how about a few months down the road, when my skin becomes more adjusted to the soap? Will AHAs and BHAs further the skin lightening process?

Thanks for your time.

Answer:

Hi KC, as you said, it's alright to use these acid-based products on lightened skin. Feel free to experiment on what's best for your skin type. However be attentive to negative reactions, or adjust regimen if necessary based on your situation.
