Acne scars

by KAT
(UK)

Hi, I've got yellowy brown skin (i'm asian) - so i guess on your chart it's about medium/olive. i have mild/moderate acne - it's much better now that before - but i do get a few here and there.

But that's not my main issue - because I think what makes my face look darker at the moment is all the scars i have left over from old acne. They're not raised or anything - they're brown and flat - but even with foundation it's not covered well.

i've been using glycolic acid 10% with licorice extract for soothing properties - it has made my skin smoother - but my scars are still there (i've been using it for about 8/9 months now)

i just want my marks to go using a safe product that won''t harm my skin. I've also got some acne and acne scars on my back that i want to get rid of - but i can deal with that later.

I was thinking of using the black soap and the skin lightening cream - my skins not really sensitive but i thought i'd start off mild just to be safe. how often would i have to use them and also, i've heard that some people get darker skin from using the soap. is that normal - or if it happens should you stop using it.

I just want to be able to not wear foundation everyday.

I'd really appreciate an answer. Also, i'm from london - how much is delivery to the uk roughly?

Thanks,
KAT

Answer:

Hi Kat, feel free to try the mild skin lightening Black Soap and Cream for the acne scars. However, experiment on 2-3x a week for the first 2 weeks to see how your skin can handle it (if you're still using the glycolic acid, otherwise, use the soap and cream daily).

For back acne and its scars, the Papaya Soap and lightening lotion would be a good choice.

Success in skin lightening depends on proper use and maintenance. Some consumers use skin whiteners then go unprotected under the sun, or overuse the products thinking they can get lighter day by day, which is a wrong notion. As long as you follow the instructions, you'll be fine.
