Acne and scars

Hi Maria, I am been searching on the internet for an effective whitening product and after a week of searching I came across your website. I am of an indian origin and have medium-dark skin tone. I would like to lighten my skin by two-three shades lighter. Also in my teenage years I suffered from severe acne which has left me with scars. I still get a few spots but occasionally.

Can you please recommend me products that will help me with:

1. Lighten skin tone
2. Diminish acne scars and
2. Help with the occasional spots.

My only concern is that I do not want to use a product that will bring back acne as I have battled with this problem for many years and has taken a very long time to have an almost clear skin.

I await for your advice.

Hi Shenaaz, the good news is, skin lightening can exfoliate/peel off the dark spots left by acne, lighten skin, and control pimples. However, remember that preventing future breakouts is a good side effect of skin lightening, and does not come as a total solution. If skin is always prone to acne, you may or may not need a separate acne treatment.
