A million questions sorta

Hiiiii Maria, i turned 17 last month and i have some acne scars and really want to get rid of them. They're on my back and this stops me wearing certain things, especially in summer. I want to get rid of them for the end of year ball at my 6th form so i can wear a nice dress. Am i too young to use skin whitening products? I live in England where the sun is basically non existant :P So what i'm trying to say is i'm already pale-ish, would this make it bad to use skin whitening? I read that it is best to use the black soap as it's gentle or something, could i also use this on my back?
Another question, as skin whitening involves peeling, will my face look weird when i go to college?
Ohoh another question as it's just scars that i' trying to get rid of, will i have to use the stuff forever or can i like quit once they're gone, because next year i'm off to uni which means Study, Budget and more Study lol.
Mum is also interested in skin whitening, she's Filipino and like darkish but not dark... If you get me? She has like brown patches on her face and wanted to know if she should use the kit you recommended for getting rid of freckles.
I like this website... Especially the sun block bit... You sound like my mother :P
Sorry about the beasty message but i had so many questions
Thank youuuuuuuuuuuu
xx

Hi Dandan, skin lightening products are solutions to any hyperpigmentation problem - acne scars, insect bite marks, melasma, etc. - regardless of where you live.
Yes, you can use the Black Soap from head to toe. You can also try the Papaya Kojic Soap because the back area is not sensitive and can handle a stronger lightening soap, but make sure the Black Soap is used for your face.
Skin lightening will involve mild skin peeling, like tiny bits of shedding skin when it's dry. That's the worse it can get. Your favorite handy moisturizer can take care of drying skin if it's uncomfortable in public.
Once the dark spots are gone, they can recur if you expose them to sunlight. Why? Because these spots have concentrated melanin pigments that can reactivate when sunlight hits them. You can prevent this by wearing at least SPF 45 sunscreen. Otherwise, they're gone.
Of course your mum can use these skin whitening products too. Freckles are a bit stubborn, so depending on her (and your) skin sensitivity, results can either be fast or slow.
I'm a mum too, and have 3 bubbly teenagers like you. :)
Take care, stay focused and beautiful.
Maria
